The Value of Nonpartisan Politics: The Foundation of Connettio

The idea of engaging in political activity outside of a party may seem impossible. Yet this is precisely the goal of Connettio .

Starting from the connection between individual young people, we want to build a space capable of transforming shared needs into common social and political battles, with an eye on a future built by young people and for young people, beyond party affiliations.
We've already discussed this in the network's presentation article, but it's worth reiterating: we believe that nonpartisanship doesn't mean excluding political ideologies, but rather fully involving them all in the debate.
Connettio was born from this very idea: to create relationships around issues that unite young people, so that dialogue and discussion can lead to shared paths and struggles, capable of transcending individual ideological differences.
It's a complex challenge, certainly. But Connettio aims to be a concrete organization that facilitates dialogue between different political forces and joint work on youth issues that concern us all.
How can all this happen?
By connecting diverse young people, along with their ideas, we believe that concrete themes can emerge, linked not only to personal beliefs, but above all to the needs and requirements young people experience every day.
By forging these connections, we want to create a space where everyone can engage in honest, sincere, and open dialogue with others, thus identifying common ground on which to work together. Because if we want a policy that truly listens to young people, it is precisely from those shared points that we must begin.
Through meetings, events, gatherings, but also aperitifs and simple conversations, Connettio aims to connect seemingly different people, yet united by the same goal: to ensure that young people are not just recipients of politics, but become its protagonists.
What if discussions arise?
Even better. It means we've truly achieved our goal: to challenge ourselves. To create a space where we can engage with realities, ideas, and experiences different from those we experience every day.
We know it's not easy. Confronting one another can be difficult, especially when you start with different visions. But this is precisely why dialogue is essential: only through authentic discussion can we understand others' points of view and build something common.
Connettio aims to offer a free, safe, and open space where this dialogue can take place in a respectful and constructive manner, also acting as a mediator between different sensibilities and positions.
What if I don't have a political conscience?
No problem. Through Connettio , you can find a space where you can build it, or perhaps better, let it emerge. Because each of us already has our own political sensibility: often, all it takes is the right context to bring it to light.
Meetings with experts, holding meetings, and above all engaging with others can help you shape it. Not through indoctrination or the imposition of ideas from above, but through listening, engaging in dialogue, and observing the diverse points of view present online.
Each of us, in fact, engages in politics every day through our own daily choices, guided by our own needs, values, and experiences. Sometimes all we need is a tool to help us bring all this into focus and transform it into awareness.
What if I'm already tied to a party?
No problem. In fact, this experience can also be an asset to the network. You'll be one of the voices bringing your ideas to Connettio , helping to connect them with those of others.
Always starting from mutual respect, we can work together to build this goal of political relations and open dialogue. And those who have already had political experience within a party can offer a fundamental contribution: experiences, skills, and perspectives capable of enriching the shared dialogue.
At Connettio, it doesn't matter where you come from politically, but your willingness to engage, listen, and build together.
This is the heart of Connettio : connecting people, overcoming those political distances that too often make young people even weaker and more fragmented.
This is certainly an ambitious project, but it can only grow thanks to the direct and ongoing support of the individuals who participate. It is precisely through participation, discussion, and the desire to build together that a strong, vibrant network rooted in the local area can be born.
That's why we need you too: your contribution, your ideas, and your desire to get involved with others.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday, June 5th at 2:30 PM at Villa Maioni Park. Visit the Events page for more information.
